Church Choir Festival
There is nothing sweet and peaceful like worshiping and praising God through music. Being a choir member at church is the most exciting and beautiful thing ever and I bet the choir members at my church will agree.
Today is a Wednesday for me this week ended very quickly, I have been very busy with my university assignments and I almost forgot to share with you an exciting event we attended this past weekend. The South African Music Competition Trust hosted the Church Choir Festival on Saturday night, the 15th of September at University of Johannesburg Auditorium.
My choir that is made up of the New Life Baptist church members was the first choir to sing with bright and beautiful orange and black uniform. The Lord was with us as always and His light was shining on our faces. My choir has been practicing for a while and as much as it is not that matured in singing, it does minister through music. The voices just come out smooth with harmony.
It’s amazing what the Lord does, the choir festival was first a competition but it was then changed to a festival that celebrates God’s glory through music, promoting community building through music and celebrating the growth of historical disadvantaged communities in South Africa.
The music was lovely and the night was just great. To top it up when it was time to go home guess what…..yes there were hailstones. I just think the night was blessed!
May God bless you my friends and may your desires be God’s desires!
